Kids Kingdom is a Childcare Learning Center for children ages 5 to 12 years old. Our motto is, "Treating Kids Like Royalty Is Our Specialty".
We are a 5 Star, Step Up To Quality, faith-based childcare center, located in the Linden area of Columbus, that enrolls school-age children from ages 5 through 12 years. We operate a before and after-school program and are also open during school breaks, schedule school closings, and operate a vibrant summer camp, where our kids enjoy a host of fun and educational field trips. We offer fun, educational activities, and assist with homework
We host a family-like atmosphere with our children and parents. Our demeanor clearly demonstrates that we care deeply about the children and desire to see them excel and progress to their highest potential. Parents like the homecooked meals; the one on one attention and personalized time we take in teaching life lessons, etc., the field trips, the transport to and from school, and the fact that we are a 5-Star Step Up To Quality Center.

Mama Cox
Co-Director of Kids Kingdom
LaTanya Huffman Cox, as Co-Director of Kids Kingdom is a Registered Nurse by trade and has a Master of Social Work. She is married to a minister and has three adult children and eight grandchildren. She has a passion for working with children and families and enjoys working with two of her children to operate this family-owned business, along with the rest of Kids Kingdom's dynamic team. They strive to provide a haven for children to learn, have fun, and explore the world around them. LaTanya, affectionately known as "Moma Cox", is excited about having a meaningful impact on the growth and development of the children who attend the center.

Mrs. LaTisha Spence
Former Director & Co-Owner
LaTisha Spence, the former Director and part owner of the center, relocated to the windy city of Chicago. She continues to remotely play a role in the operations of the center on a consultative basis. LaTisha is married with three children and has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Communications and Psychology.

Mr. Jay
Co-Director
Jamaal H. Cox, Sr., as Co-Director of Kids Kingdom, Jamaal, also known as Mr. Jay, teamed up with his family to open Kids Kingdom in 2013, and has been an integral part of it developing into a 5-Star Step Up To Quality childcare center. Mr. Jay is the "face of Kids Kingdom" and is concerned with overall day to day operations. He has a CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential and has worked in the childcare industry for over 20 years. He is married and has two children- a teen and a pre-teen. He is an accomplished musician who plays at church and community events. His gregarious personality helps create the family atmosphere that we're known for in the community. His tenacity in giving kids individualized attention and his passion for assisting families with instilling values and problem-solving skills in children, are two of his unique qualities.

Mr. Will
Senior Lead Teacher of Kids Kingdom
William Johnson, Sr., as the Senior Lead Teacher of Kids Kingdom, William, also known as Mr. Will, coordinates the instructional program and a dynamic Summer Camp for the center. The summer field trip schedule is diverse and second to none. He has a CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential and has been employed in the childcare industry since 2003. He brought his experience and multi-talented skill set to Kids Kingdom in 2014. He is well known for his passion for working with children and families and helping children reach their full potential. Mr. Will's innovative technqiues make learning fun and practical. He is also a talented artist, who shares this and other skills with our children.
Ms. Whit
Lead Teacher
Whitley Cox, as a lead teacher at the center, Whitley, also known as Ms. Whit, has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has worked in the childcare industry since 2020, including being a childcare supervisor. She is married and has a toddler and two bonus school-aged daughters. She works part- time and enjoys using her creativity to help the children learn and grow. She can be found delving into a lot of fun activities, including engaging in outdoor games, making cookies, learning new things about the world, or helping children with their homework.
Ms. Pace
Childcare Teacher
Lillia Pace, has worked in childcare for over 17 years, and has been a team member of Kids Kingdom since 2018. She and her identical twin sister team up together to provide "grandmotherly care" to our children. Ms. Pace is masterful in providing a fun, educational experience for our children. She usually has a special treat for the children, especially during holidays. Ms. Pace has four adult children and 2 grandchildren.
Ms. Howard
Childcare Teacher
Laura Howard, along with her identical twin sister, who is also a childcare teacher at Kids Kingdom, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, having been in childcare for over 17 years and employed at Kids Kingdom since 2018. Her dedication and skill at teaching basics skills, highlighting special events and holidays, and providing a fun, family-like atmosphere is a rewarding venture for the children. Ms. Howard is married and has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
